Gordon Berger has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Gordon started their career as an Administrative Officer at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co in 1987 and worked there until 1992. Gordon then joined BNY Mellon as a Managing Director, specializing in Capital Markets and later Asset Recovery from 1992 to 2014. At BNY Mellon, they managed a portfolio of impaired bank exposures, successfully completing transactions worth over $250 million. Gordon also played a key role in structuring and syndicating bank loan products, particularly to financial borrowers, ranking BNY Mellon in the top 10 for syndicated loans. In 2016, Gordon joined Emigrant Bank as a Vice President and Senior Commercial Credit Reviewer.
Gordon Berger began their education by attending Milton Academy from 1979 to 1981. Gordon then pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics & Computer Science from Duke University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985.
Following their undergraduate studies, Gordon went on to attend the University of Rochester - Simon Business School and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance & Marketing. Gordon completed their MBA program from 1985 to 1987.
