Chief Trade Officer at Emirates Shipping Line

Sushil Sriram has extensive work experience in the shipping industry. Sushil started their career with Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE) rotations in 2006. Throughout their career, they have held various senior roles at A.P. Moller - Maersk, including Director of Product Management and Head of Capacity Management for Sealand Asia. In these roles, they focused on developing strategies, managing trade lanes, optimizing product portfolios, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Sushil also played a key role in setting up a procurement and performance department and led a team responsible for operating a fleet of container vessels. In 2024, they became the Chief Trade Officer at Emirates Shipping Line.

Sushil Sriram has a diverse education history. In 1991 to 2000, they attended The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. Later, from 2002 to 2006, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Honours) at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. In 2006 to 2008, they completed M.I.S.E at Maersk International Shipping Education, which covered various maritime courses, economics, project management, and negotiation techniques. In 2011, they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Shipping Business and Liner Trade from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Most recently, in 2021, they joined IMD for a course. Additionally, Sushil Sriram obtained certifications in Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from the Association for Supply Chain Management in 2023, Introduction to Pricing and Revenue Management from ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile in 2021, and AI Foundations for Everyone Specialization from Coursera in 2020.
