John Walker

John Walker, BEng (Hons), CEng, FRAeS, currently serves as Vice President of Base Maintenance at Emirates, overseeing maintenance operations for A380 and B777 aircraft with a team of over 1600 in 11 code F hangars since January 2023. Previously, John held various leadership roles at Qantas, including Head of Line and Intermediate Maintenance Operations, managing a workforce of 1700 across multiple countries and accountable for a $330M AUD budget. Additional experience includes roles in technical services at Jetstar Airways, strategy and project management at Qantas, and engineering positions at Airbus, AgustaWestland, and British Airways. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering from the University of the West of England and various engineering certifications.
