Celina Smith

Celina Smith serves as a Professor of Entrepreneurship at EMLYON Business School since April 2024, focusing on how family businesses respond to external shocks and the resulting behaviors, including brinkmanship to safeguard their interests. Previously, Celina held the position of Visiting Research Fellow at Imperial College Business School from January 2010 to April 2023 and served as an Associate Professor at EMLYON Business School from January 2010 to March 2023, specializing in entrepreneurship and family business management. Celina began an academic career as an Assistant Professor, contributing to scholarship in entrepreneurship and family business. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management, with a focus on entrepreneurship, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial Business School.
