Fr. Chris Roussell currently serves as the Rector at Emmanuel Episcopal Church since September 2013, where a deep sense of gratitude and humility informs their priestly ministry. Prior to this role, Fr. Roussell was a Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice from December 2010 to August 2013, where the opportunity to support individuals during sacred moments of life was profoundly impactful. Before entering hospice care, Fr. Roussell held various positions within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, including Associate Pastor, Administrator, and Pastor from May 2003 to May 2006. Additional experience includes working as Vice President at Concrete Busters of Louisiana from 2007 to 2011 and serving as the Director of Corporate Development and Golf Classic Coordinator at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center from 1996 to 1997. Fr. Roussell earned a Master of Divinity from Notre Dame School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Louisiana State University.
