Barbara Krauthamer

Barbara Krauthamer is an academic administrator currently serving at Emory University since July 2023. Previously, Barbara was the Dean of the College of Humanities and Fine Arts at UMass Amherst from July 2020 to July 2023, and held various positions at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, including Professor of History, Dean of the Graduate School, and Associate Dean of the Graduate School from September 2008 to July 2023. Educational credentials include a PhD in African-American/Black Studies and a second PhD in African American History from Princeton University, a Master's degree in African-American/Black Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Dartmouth College.
