Deborah W. Bruner

Deborah W. Bruner is the Senior Vice President for Research at Emory University. Deborah has held this position since January 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Assistant Dean for Faculty Mentoring and Advancement at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing from December 2015 to October 2018. From July 2013 to December 2017, they were the Director of Faculty Mentoring at the school. Deborah also served as the Associate Director for Outcomes Research at Winship Cancer Institute from September 2011 to December 2015.

Brunner began their career as a nurse manager at Fox Chase Cancer Center in January 1989. Deborah held various positions at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing from January 2006 to December 2011, including Director of Research Fellowship and Nurse Manager.

Deborah W. Bruner has a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania in Nursing (Outcomes Research). Deborah also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing Administration from Villanova University, as well as two Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Widener University - one in Nursing Administration and the other in Nursing Oncology. Her Bachelor of Science in Nursing is from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
