Omonike Olaleye, Ph.D., MPH, serves as the Senior Associate Vice President for Research and Innovation and Professor of Pharmacology at Texas Southern University since September 2008. Omonike also holds several leadership roles including Co-Director for CCPF Education, Training and Outreach and Maternal and Child Health Program, as well as Director for TSU-RCMI Collaborations and Partnerships and TSU Drug Discovery and Development within the NIH funded UTEP BUILDing Scholars Program. Additionally, Omonike has experience as an Interim Associate Provost and Assistant Dean for Student Services. Recently, Omonike participated as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow at The University of Texas System from August 2023 to June 2024. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health from Harvard University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of St. Thomas (TX).
