Lisa D. Simmons

Lisa D. Simmons, MBA, serves as the Department Administrator (Director of Finance, Administration and Operations) at Emory University, overseeing the operations of the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Joint Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering. As a member of the senior leadership team, Lisa collaborates with executive leadership to implement strategies that support the Woodruff Health Sciences strategic plan. Prior roles include Director of Finance and Human Resources Shared Services, where Lisa managed financial operations for multiple academic medical departments, and various positions in financial analysis, where responsibilities encompassed budgeting, forecasting, and grant administration. Lisa holds an MBA in Management from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and a BA in Business Administration and Management from Marymount Manhattan College.
