Megan Sheffield currently serves as the Research Data Practices Lead at Emory University, a position held since April 2023. Previously, Megan worked as the Interim Department Head of Open Scholarship at Clemson Libraries, advocating for open scholarship and research data management from July 2021 to April 2023. In a long tenure at Clemson University from November 2012 to April 2023, Megan transitioned from Data Services Librarian to a leadership role as Unit Head for Library Technology, where responsibilities included strategic planning and performance assessment. Earlier experience includes roles as Science Librarian at the University of South Florida and Lead Math & SAT Tutor at Sylvan Learning. Megan holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Maryland, a Graduate Certificate in Digital Curation and Data Management from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science in Biology from Clemson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clemson University.
