Leonard Krupnik

Research Scientist at Empa

Leonard Krupnik is a dedicated research scientist with extensive experience in nanomedicine and material science. Currently at Empa since February 2021, Leonard has successfully characterized the structure of multiple nanomedicines. Prior to this, Leonard held several research internships at esteemed institutions such as EMBL, where the preparation and investigation of model cell membranes was performed, and Merck KGaA, where foaming and self-assembly properties of surfactants were examined. Previous research experiences also include nanoparticles and polymeric compound mixed membranes at The University of Sheffield, and the synthesis of fluorescent compounds at the University of Heidelberg. Leonard's academic credentials include a Doctor of Science in Chemistry from Université de Fribourg, along with multiple master's and bachelor's degrees in chemistry from Heidelberg University and The University of Sheffield.
