Scott Kistler

VP, Public Policy & Legislative Affairs at Empath Health

Scott Kistler, MHA, is the Vice President for Public Policy & Legislative Affairs for Empath Health. Scott leads the public policy efforts of Empath Health at the national, state, and local levels and represents Empath Health in a variety of public policy forums, both internally and externally. He also leads the analysis, planning, and execution of State of Florida Certificate of Need (CON) initiatives. Scott began his career with Empath Health in 1997 and has since held the positions of Vice President of Operations, Vice President for Organizational Development, and Vice President for Strategy and Business Development. Scott earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Penn State University. He is actively involved with his community and is a current board member with four community organizations: The American Cancer Society-Tampa Bay Chapter, Suncoast Solutions, Empath Partners in Care (EPIC), and the Humane Society of Pinellas.
