David Kessler, FACHE has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. David began their career in 1989 as President Emeritus of Project Angel Food, a Los Angeles-based organization that provides medically tailored meals to individuals living with life-threatening illnesses. In 2001, they joined Citrus Valley Health Partners as Chief Patient Support Operations Officer & Senior Executive. In 2008, they became a Board Member of the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California. In 2012, they founded David Kessler Inc. and Grief.com and served as President. In 2020, they joined Empathy as Chief Empathy Officer. At Empathy, they serve as the primary expert on grief and the emotional impacts of loss, helping to create audio and written content in the app for grief guidance, and coaching care specialists on dealing 1-on-1 with the recently bereaved.

David Kessler, FACHE completed a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Loyola Marymount University between 2010 and 2012. David also attended the University of Southern California from 1978 to 1982.
