Ivan Savarain

Ivan Savarain is an experienced finance professional with a strong focus on impact investing and emerging markets. Currently serving as Director of Investments at Calvert Impact since October 2021, Ivan plays a key role in driving investment strategies. As a member of Empire Angels since 2013, Ivan has engaged in origination, pitch events, and due diligence. Previously, as Principal at ЗOrbi from October 2018 to October 2021, responsibilities included financing advisory and asset management. Ivan's extensive background also includes over a decade at Citi in Export and Agency Finance, where responsibilities encompassed origination and execution of term debt financings, as well as various positions at Lion Investment Partners and ING Financial Markets focused on event-driven strategies and private placements. Ivan holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BA in Business Administration from Webster Vienna Private University.
