Julie McMahon

Julie McMahon has extensive work experience in the field of HR and talent acquisition. Julie is currently working as the Vice President of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition at Empire Company Limited since August 2023. Prior to this, Julie held the position of Vice President, People and Culture at Lightspeed Commerce from December 2022 to August 2023.

Before joining Lightspeed Commerce, Julie worked at Rogers Communications where they served in various roles including Head of Talent Acquisition from February 2022 to December 2022, Senior Director, Human Resources from December 2020 to February 2022, and Head of HR for the Quebec region from January 2018 to December 2020.

Julie also gained valuable experience at BAT where they held the positions of Global Sr HR Director, Next Generation Products from February 2016 to January 2018 and Director HRBP from August 2012 to February 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the HR Director Canada at Reader's Digest from July 2011 to August 2012, and as an HR Manager at AbitibiBowater from August 2005 to July 2011.

Overall, Julie McMahon has over 10 years of experience in HR and talent acquisition, with a track record of leadership positions in major companies.

Julie McMahon completed their M.Sc. in Industrial Relations from the Université de Montréal, which took place from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their degree, they obtained the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation in July 2021.
