Kush Arora

Kush Arora has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the music industry. Starting in 1996, they worked as a tester for Arboretum Systems until 2001. In 2002, they established Kush Arora Productions, where they served as the owner. In the same year, they also worked as a sound designer for Sound Mountain, focusing on sound effects for games and organizing sound libraries.

From 2007 to 2008, Arora worked as a music content manager and sound engineer for FlipTrack, Inc., managing content for a user-generated music website. In 2008, they became a label manager and retail sales specialist for INgrooves, overseeing the electronica music division. Kush handled label relations, business development, and coordinated workflow for releases.

Starting in 2014, Arora joined SoundCloud as a senior content relations manager, managing relationships with independent artists, labels, and distributors. Kush also played a key role in event planning and A&R for shows and product launches. In 2017, they transitioned to EMPIRE, initially serving as the director of operations and label relations product manager. Kush directed production, coordinated releases, and managed relationships with key stakeholders such as marketing, operations, clients, and online stores. In November 2020, Arora was promoted to VP of Operations at EMPIRE, where they continued to oversee content management production and operations for over 4000 label clients.
