Emma Brandt, Ph.D., has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emma is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Empirico Inc. since May 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Independent Consultant at Vascugen from March 2021 to June 2021, where they revised and assisted with pre-IND application package for Vascugen's iPSC-based vascular product and created GMP documentation for the quality management system.

From November 2018 to May 2021, Emma worked as a Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before that, they pursued their Ph.D. as a Ph.D. Student at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences from July 2013 to November 2018. Additionally, Emma gained teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine from April 2015 to July 2015.

Emma's career started with several roles at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from June 2010 to May 2013, including positions in the Biology Department and various administrative offices such as Financial Aid/Student Billing, Textbook Services, and Registrar's Office. Emma also gained research experience as a Student Research Intern-SURF at Mayo Clinic in the summer of 2012, where they conducted genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and performed functional studies in human cancer cell lines.

Before pursuing their higher education, Emma worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Door Creek Pharmacy from August 2006 to August 2008. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in scientific research, project management, quality management systems, and teaching.

Emma Brandt, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Emma attended this institution from 2008 to 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Emma successfully completed their Ph.D. program from 2013 to 2018.
