James Austin

James Austin has a diverse work experience in the field of digital marketing and communications. James is currently the Head of Social Media at Emplifi, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Optimist Inc. where they held roles as a Digital Strategist from September 2020 to August 2022, and as a Social Media Team Lead from May 2019 to September 2020. James also served as a Social Media Manager at PRECIOSA Components from November 2017 to May 2019 and as a Content Manager at Tabella s.r.o. from November 2016 to November 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Digital Marketing Coordinator & Content Developer at Memsource from May 2016 to November 2016, and as a Copywriter at Covidien (Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group) from August 2014 to April 2016. James also gained experience as a Communications Manager at TRIMBALEN s.r.o. from October 2012 to August 2014. Early in their career, they worked as an EFL Teacher at Caledonian School from April 2011 to October 2012, teaching English language to various clients. James began their professional journey as a Copywriter + Sales Executive at The Diversity Group from September 2007 to September 2009.

James Austin has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music and American Studies from the University of Liverpool, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. James also holds a NCTJ Diploma in Print Journalism from Liverpool Community College, which they obtained from 2008 to 2009. Currently, James is pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Marketing at Nuclio Digital School, starting in 2020. Additionally, they have a TEFL Worldwide Prague certification.
