Petr Podrouzek

Petr Podrouzek has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and data science. Petr started their career as a founder of an e-learning software called cdstudent, where they managed a team of over 30 individuals. Later, they co-founded zaskolou.cz, the first e-learning SaaS platform in the Czech Republic.

In their professional roles, Petr has held various leadership positions in well-known companies. Petr served as Assistant Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, leading a successful project to optimize data warehouse performance. At Socialbakers, they were the Vice President for AI & Data, scaling the data teams from 5 to 50.

Currently, Petr is the Vice President of Engineering at Emplifi, heading the Social Marketing Cloud engineering department. Petr has built strong data teams from scratch, resulting in commercially successful features and contributing to the company's growth. Petr is also responsible for data integration initiatives across all entities forming Emplifi, unifying data engineering and research practices.

Petr Podrouzek obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Charles University between 2000 and 2005. Petr also obtained a Master's Degree in Applied Informatics from Prague University of Economics and Business from 2005 to 2007. In 2006 and 2007, Petr participated in the Erasmus Programme at BI Norwegian Business School, focusing on Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Petr also took individual courses in Microeconomics and Game Theory at Charles University from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, Petr has acquired several certifications, including "Generative AI with Large Language Models" from DeepLearning.AI, "Applied Machine Learning in Python" from the University of Michigan, and various others in the field of Mathematics and Machine Learning from Imperial College London and The Johns Hopkins University. Lastly, Petr holds certifications in IT-related areas, such as Microsoft and ITIL Foundation.
