Cifi, Fcla, LPCS Director, Special Investigations Unit at Employers

Mike Grenon has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mike began their career as a Police Officer/Sergeant in the Patrol Division at the Benton Charter Township Police Department in Benton Harbor, MI, where they served from 1984 to 1998. After that, they joined the Westfield Group and worked as an SIU Unit Manager, supervising regional SIU investigators and conducting multi-line insurance investigations, until 2008. From 2008 to 2021, Mike served as the Director of Investigative Services at AF-Group, where they developed and managed the Investigative Services Unit and implemented an SIU program focused on workers' compensation. After leaving AF-Group, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Beacon Injury Investigation, LLC. Their most recent position is the CIFI, FCLA, LPCS VP of Investigations, Fraud Management, and Claims at EMPLOYERS, where they are responsible for strategic leadership and development of the national SIU program.

Mike Grenon has a diverse education history. Mike obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Spring Arbor University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, in 1984, they attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College and pursued a certification as a Certified Police Officer.

In addition to their formal education, Mike Grenon has also obtained several certifications. In December 2022, they became a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI) from the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU). Prior to that, in June 2003, they achieved the Fraud Claims Law Associate (FCLA) certification from the American Educational Institute Inc. Furthermore, in May 2002, they obtained the Legal Principles Claim Specialist (LPCS) certification, also from the American Educational Institute Inc.
