Jan Kroezen

Jan Kroezen has extensive work experience in the field of payroll administration. Jan began their career at AGROS Groothandelscentrum, where they worked in the bookkeeping department from 1977 to 1988. Jan then moved on to the Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis Assen, where they served as the Coordinator of the Payroll Administration department. During their time there, they supervised a team of four employees and was involved in implementing a new payroll system. Jan also automated the time registration process for approximately 600 nurses. Jan worked at the hospital until 2001.

After leaving the hospital, Jan joined Unigarant as a Payroll Administrator. In this role, they were responsible for managing the salary and pension administration for 450 employees. Jan also handled management reporting, including budgeting and occupancy figures. Jan remained at Unigarant until 2006.

From 2006 to 2008, Jan worked as a Senior Payroll Administrator at BSPE. Jan then moved on to Mulderij & Partners, an accounting firm where they held the position of Senior Payroll Administrator. In addition to overseeing the payroll administration for around 200 clients, Jan also optimized internal processes and guided employees through system changes. Jan provided advice on taxation, collective labor agreements, and pension legislation. Jan was involved in various projects, including digitizing client agreements and automating variable mutations for the Unit4 software. Jan worked at Mulderij & Partners until 2011.

Jan's career then took a new direction when they founded Employes in 2016. As a co-founder and Senior Payroll Administrator, they initiated the development of a new payroll package, which eventually led to the establishment of Employes. In the initial phase of the company, Jan provided full-time support in developing the payroll engine, onboarding the first 250 administrations, and advising on salary-related matters.

Throughout their career, Jan has gained extensive experience in payroll administration, system implementation, process optimization, and team management.

In 1985 and 1986, Jan Kroezen attended a program called Praktijk Diploma Boekhouden (PDB).

From 1987 to 1989, Jan Kroezen pursued a program called Moderne Bedrijfsadministratie (MBA).

In 1993 and 1994, Jan Kroezen obtained a Praktijk Diploma Loonadministratie.

From 1997 to 1999, Jan Kroezen studied at SPD, where they completed modules in Economie, Bedrijfseconomie I, and Bedrijfscalculatie.

In 2010, Jan Kroezen completed a module in loonheffingen, specifically as a Payroll Adviseur.
