Ashley Downey

Ashley Downey is the Associate Director of Learning & Technical Assistance at EmployIndy. Ashley has a background in education and management. Ashley started their career as an inventory control associate and bridal consultant at Bed Bath & Beyond. Ashley then transitioned into the education field as a middle school social studies educator for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation. After a few years of teaching, Ashley moved into the nonprofit sector and became the Manager of Alumni Services for TeenWorks. In their current role at EmployIndy, Ashley is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to Indy Chamber members, connecting them with the resources they need to grow their businesses.

Ashley Downey has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Teacher Education from Ball State University. Ashley has certification from CPP, Inc. in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and from the State of Indiana in Secondary Education Teaching Licensure.

They work with Rodney T. Francis - Chief Programs Officer, Marie Mackintosh - Chief Strategy Officer, and Charlie Harris Jr. - Director, Opportunity Youth. Their manager is Angela Carr Klitzsch, President & CEO.
