R Scott Sutton

R Scott Sutton, CFE, CMAA has a diverse work experience in leadership roles. R Scott recently joined Empower Brands as the Chief Development Officer in December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Growth Officer at Threshold Brands from July 2021 to December 2022. In this role, they were responsible for enterprise expansion and revenue growth across multiple portfolio companies. R Scott led various channels of business, including franchise development, consumer marketing, creative design, and the company's call center organization. Their notable achievements include developing strategies for rapid system expansion, implementing brand positioning initiatives, managing brand refresh projects, and driving growth campaigns resulting in the completion of 144 new franchise units. Before their role at Threshold Brands, they held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Deluxe from August 2010 to July 2021.

R Scott Sutton, CFE, CMAA holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) from the International Franchise Association in February 2009, and as a Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) from the Alliance of M&A Advisors in 2019.
