Robert Mitchell, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Robert is currently working at Empower Rental Group as the VP, Controller. Prior to that, they served as the Interim Director of Finance at Empower Rental Group.

Robert Mitchell has extensive experience in accounting and finance consulting, having worked at Accounting Solutions Partners as a Controller consultant. In this role, they provided fractional controller, senior accountant, and bookkeeping services to small to mid-size clients in industries such as SaaS, healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing, and start-ups.

Robert also worked at UnitedHealth Group as an Accounting Project Manager, where they successfully executed a contract database project that resulted in revenue growth. At Park Dental, Robert served as the Revenue Cycle Manager, overseeing accounts receivable and claims management teams and implementing advanced time tracking and workflow efficiency reporting systems.

In addition, Robert Mitchell has experience in the education sector as an Accounting Director at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School - Twin Cities, where they directed finance, accounting, and human resources functions. Robert also worked as a Corporate Cost Accountant at SunOpta and as an Assistant Controller at World Food Holdings, LLC, where they performed various financial tasks and provided leadership in implementing innovative ideas.

Before their consulting roles, Robert began their career at BDO USA, LLP as a Senior Assurance Associate, gaining experience in auditing public and private clients across various industries. Robert also worked as an Assurance Associate and Experienced Associate during their time at BDO.

Robert'searly career includes a position as a General Accountant at SALT International, where they handled all accounting functions for a not-for-profit agricultural developer, and as an Accounting/Insurance Billing Clerk at Graf Optical, where they maintained accounts receivable and led the company's digital conversion efforts.

Robert Mitchell, CPA has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cross-Cultural Studies from Simpson University, which they completed from 2001 to 2005. Robert also holds an Accounting Certificate II (B.S. equivalent) from the University of Minnesota, obtained from 2009 to 2010. Robert is a Certified Public Accountant, certified by both the Minnesota Board of Accountancy in 2013 and the Georgia State Board of Accountancy in 2022.
