Paulo Correa

Paulo Correa has had an extensive and diverse work experience in various companies. Paulo started their career in 1975 at Lys Electronic, where they began as an intern and eventually became the Chief Engineer. Their responsibilities included introducing new products, managing engineers and technicians, and providing support in production, sales, marketing, and customer relations. Paulo designed TV and FM power amplifiers, microwave links, and power supply and control systems. In 1994, they joined Comwave as the Manager of Transmission System Engineering and led projects related to the development of transmission systems. At Thales, Paulo held multiple positions, including Director of Engineering and CTO. Paulo was responsible for overseeing advanced projects, managing the due diligence process for acquisitions, and retiring voluntarily in 2006. Later, they worked at Thomson BM as the CTO until its acquisition by Thomson. Finally, they joined Empower RF Systems in 2009 as the CTO.

Paulo Correa obtained their middle and high school education at colegio sao bento between 1965 and 1971. Paulo then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 1972 to 1977. Later, in 2006, they attended the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, where they completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree with a focus on Business between 2006 and 2008.
