Matthew Matera

Matthew Matera has extensive experience in education and leadership roles, currently serving as Board Chairman for Teach Western Mass since June 2017 and as a Partner at Empower Schools since September 2014. Previous positions include Director of Innovation and Talent at Lawrence Public Schools and Director of Human Capital Investments at New Schools for New Orleans. Matthew began teaching English at St. Louis Public Schools through Teach For America and later served as an English Teacher at Innovation Academy Charter School. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelor's Degree from Yale University.
