Chris Lennon

President and General Counsel at Empowered Startups

Christopher Lennon has a diverse range of work experience. Christopher is currently the President and General Counsel at Empowered Startups Ltd. and also works as a Technology and Corporate Lawyer at LennonAllen, where they advise tech startups, universities, and non-profit entities. Christopher has also held the position of Director at the Centre for Innovation in Mineral Resource Engineering and Director and Corporate Secretary at the Blockchain Ecosystem of BC Society. Prior to these roles, Christopher served as Practice Leader for Startups and New Ventures and Charities and Not-for-profits at Richards Buell Sutton LLP. Christopher has also worked as a Text Book Author for McGill-Queen's University Press and as a Freelance Writer for Ski Canada magazine. Christopher has also been involved with non-profit organizations, serving as a Director for the Thunderbird Football Association and as an Athlete for the International Freeskiers Association.

Christopher Lennon attended The University of British Columbia from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and History. Christopher later pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007, specializing in Law. In addition to their formal education, Lennon has obtained certifications, including being a Leanstack Certified Startup Mentor from LEANSTACK and a Black Duck Legal Specialist from Black Duck Software.
