Benjamin Oaks has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Benjamin started their career as the Chief Operating Officer at PSP Unlimited from May 2009 to April 2010. Benjamin then co-founded Platfoam.com in May 2010 and served as the CEO until February 2011. From February 2011 to August 2015, Benjamin co-founded and worked as the COO at MuCash, a financial technology company. In September 2011, they joined the Board of Directors at the New York City Mission Society and served until February 2015. Benjamin also served as a Founding Advisor at Palindrome Advisors from March 2011 to January 2017. Additionally, from August 2014 to June 2016, they were the President of the Board of Directors at CHABHA. From June 2015 to June 2017, Benjamin held the position of Vice President of Finance and Operations at Vehicles for Change. Benjamin founded DailyGiver, a charitable donation site, in October 2012 and remained involved until August 2017. Lastly, Benjamin worked as a Baltimore CityLab Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School from September 2017 to July 2018. Most recently, since December 2017, they have been working as the Vice President at Empowered To Run.
Benjamin Oaks completed their undergraduate education at Colgate University from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Astrophysics and Philosophy. Prior to that, they attended Auburn High School from 1993 to 1997, graduating with a Regents diploma. Later on, they pursued further education at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management from 2007 to 2009, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
