Alexander Triassi has extensive work experience in the field of synthetic biology and science communication. Alexander is currently working at Empress Therapeutics as a Scientist II, specializing in synthetic biology. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Scientist in Synthetic Biology at Empress Therapeutics. Before that, Alexander served as a Communication Fellow at the MIT Biological Engineering Communication Lab, where they gained valuable experience in science communication. During their time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, they worked as a PhD Student in Biological Engineering. Additionally, they held a position as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Rochester Institute of Technology and participated in the Amgen Summer Scholar program at MIT. In their early career, Alexander Triassi served as the Family Science Lead at the RIT Insight Lab, where they facilitated science outreach programs aimed at encouraging students to pursue STEM careers.
Alexander Triassi attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2021, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biological Engineering. Prior to that, they attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Bioscience.
