Ishan Madhusanka

Ishan Madhusanka has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ishan began their career in 2011 as a Designer/Developer at Upwork and worked on various projects until 2013. In 2013, they joined Topcoder as a User Experience Designer. Ishan then worked at Kloudmart.lk from 2015 to 2017, where they served as a Senior UI/UX Developer and created an application simulator using Node.js with Express and Socket.

From 2017 to 2019, Ishan worked at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2020, they joined Railsbank as a Full Stack Engineer and became a Senior Technical Lead in December 2020, a position they held until January 2022.

Throughout their career, Ishan has also done freelance work. Ishan worked as a Freelance Developer at Rhino Partners from 2017 to 2020, serving as a Full Stack Engineer. Ishan also worked as a Freelance Toptal Developer/Designer at Toptal starting in 2019. Additionally, in 2021, they worked as a Freelance Full Stack Engineer at both Braintrust and Turing.com.

Most recently, Ishan joined EMQ Inc. in 2022 as an Engineering Consultant. Overall, Ishan has demonstrated their expertise and versatility in software development, design, and leadership roles throughout their career.

Ishan Madhusanka completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Peradeniya from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Dharmaraja College, Kandy, from 2003 to 2011 where they focused on Mathematics, although no degree was specified. Additionally, Ishan has obtained several certifications including the Blockchain Developer Nanodegree Program from Udacity in June 2022, the FinTech online short course from Harvard University VPAL in May 2022, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2021.
