Rodney Green

Director of Operations at EMS Unlimited

Rodney was born & raised in Colorado and is a former U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel with over 25 years of management and leadership experience in the military and civilian corporate sectors. His education includes an MS in Management & Project Management, Marine Corps Command & Staff College and a BA in History.

As a Marine, Rodney served as an Air Support Control and artillery officer. On the corporate side, he worked in field operations for a large telecom company and as an Equipment Operations Manager in industrial construction, which relocated him & his family from Colorado to Canada to Texas and back to Colorado.

Common for EMS Unlimited employees, Rodney is at home in the mountains. He supports the preservation and conservation of wild, remote & austere lands and loves sharing those places with others. In addition to being a ski patroller, he is a professional member of the American Mountain Guides Association and has climbed & skied throughout the western U.S., to include Alaska, as well as internationally in Canada & Ecuador. He has hiked 50 of the 58 named Colorado 14ers (and hopes to finish them soon), Katahdin, Mount Washington, Shasta, Baker and Whitney, as well as run numerous trail marathons and ultras.

In 2018, Rodney decided to leave the corporate grind and get his Wilderness EMT certificate with the idea of somehow combining his professional experience with his passion for the outdoors. He still believes in the idea of service & helping others, and after three years of traveling and looking for the next place to land, he has found that opportunity at EMS Unlimited.

Rodney and his wife, Kris, live in Fruita, CO, a perfect home base for all that Colorado has to offer. Their two mountain-loving kids are each serving in the military.
