Clinton Allen has accumulated extensive work experience in the field of payment technology and software architecture. Clinton currently holds the position of Chair of the Secure Remote Commerce Task Force at EMVCo, where they have been since 2015. Prior to this role, they served as the Chair of the Tokenisation Working Group at EMVCo from 2015 to 2018.
Before joining EMVCo, Clinton worked at American Express starting in 2010. Clinton'sroles at American Express included Sr. Manager - Advanced Payments, where they played a strategic and tactical role in overseeing American Express Token Services, and Lead Technical Architect, responsible for providing architectural solutions and strategic direction to enable key business and technology initiatives.
Clinton also gained notable experience as the owner of Samissa Inc., from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, they worked at American Express as a Lead Software Architect from 2006 to 2010, and at the University of Advancing Technology as a Faculty member from 2000 to 2006.
Earlier in their career, Clinton worked as a Technical Consultant at Insight from 1997 to 1998 and as a Programmer at Microsolve from 1995 to 1997.
Throughout their career, Clinton has demonstrated expertise in the areas of payment technology, software architecture, and strategic leadership.
Clinton Allen attended Arizona State University from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Clinton later returned to Arizona State University from 2003 to 2006 to pursue a Master of Computer Science degree in Software Engineering.
