Catherine Smith has a wealth of experience in the clinical research field. Catherine began their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant at Telethon Kids Institute, followed by a role as a Medical Scientist at PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Tumour Immunology Group at The University of Western Australia. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant at the Women's Health Academic Centre, King's Health Partners, where they assisted with the operation of a clinical trials unit in the Women's Health Department at St Thomas' Hospital, London. In 2014, they worked as a Clinical Trial Coordinator and Research Data Manager at Medical Oncology, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. From 2017-2022, they held roles as a Start-up Lead and Start-up Associate at Linear Clinical Research Ltd, and is currently a Clinical Research Operations Manager and Clinical Research Operations Lead at Emyria (ASX:EMD).
Catherine Smith attended Murdoch University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology & Biomedical Science, a Bachelor of Forensics in Forensic Biology and Toxicology (minor Criminology), and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology with Honours.
