Jennifer Schmitz

Jennifer Schmitz, MSN, EMT-P, CEN, CPEN, CNML, FNP-C, NE-BC is the immediate past president of the Emergency Nurses Association. She is in her sixth year on the board.

Schmitz has spent her entire career in emergency nursing, primarily in a community hospital setting. She has held a variety of positions including staff nurse, charge nurse, nurse educator, nurse manager, and currently, as the chief nursing officer for Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine.

Schmitz joined ENA in 2002 as a new graduate nurse. Since 2012, she has been actively involved at the local, state, and national levels. She served a two-year term as Maine ENA State Council president and was a member of the council’s board of directors. She participated on the ENA Operations Committee in 2016-17 and is a TNCC and ENPC instructor.
