Morriss L. Hurt

Morriss L. Hurt is a Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer of EnCap Flatrock Midstream. Prior to joining EnCap Flatrock Midstream in 2008, Mr. Hurt was Founder of The Encino Group, a boutique investment bank providing institutional quality financial advisory services for entrepreneur-owned companies. In this capacity, Mr. Hurt raised growth capital for high-quality management teams and provided mergers and acquisitions, financial and strategic advisory services. Prior to Encino, Mr. Hurt was a financial analyst with Salomon Smith Barney in New York, working in the firm’s Global Power group. Mr. Hurt earned a B.B.A in Finance from Texas A&M University.

In addition to serving in EFM's Investment Committee, he also serves on the firm's ESG Committee and the Flatrock in Action Committee which focuses on community service. Mr. Hurt is a member of the board of directors of several EFM portfolio companies, including Cogent Midstream, Ironwood Midstream Energy Partners, and Rangeland Energy III. He also serves as a member of the Executive Committee at The Children's Shelter in San Antonio where he is Chairman of Finance and Treasurer. He is a children's education instructor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church and a member of the Investment Committee at San Antonio Academy of Texas.
