Software Engineer at Encentiv Energy

Dylan Raye-Leonard has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they were the Lead Hoop House Builder for Nifty Hoops, a mission-driven for-profit company that builds season extension structures. In 2017, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the NSF INFEWS Urine Diversion Project, where they studied the social and technological feasibility of urine diversion for fertilizer. In 2018, they were a Field Research Assistant for the Multifunctional Woody Polyculture Project at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2019, they were an Environmental Sensing Intern at LimnoTech, where they developed novel sensors for real-time water resource monitoring. In 2020, they were a Senior Staff Engineer (EIT) and Staff Professional at Geosyntec Consultants, where they provided engineering services to internal and external clients and co-led an initiative to develop digital resources to support field efforts. Dylan is currently a Software Engineer at Encentiv Energy, a position they have held since 2022.

Dylan Raye-Leonard graduated from the University of Michigan College of Engineering in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. In 2021, Dylan obtained an Engineer Intern (EIT) certification from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCBELS). Dylan is currently enrolled in the Flatiron School for Software Engineering, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
