Sebastian J. Gajek

Sebastian J. Gajek is a distinguished expert in IT security and cryptography, currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO of enclaive since February 2022. In addition to this role, Gajek has been a Professor for IT Security and Cryptography at Hochschule Flensburg since 2015, focusing on R&D in confidential cloud computing and privacy-enhanced AI. As a member of the Board of Advisors for several innovative companies, including encentive GmbH, LUKSO, and Ocean Protocol, Gajek contributes to advancements in grid stabilization, creative economies, and secure data sharing. Previously, Gajek founded Weeve, leading it as Managing Director until an exit in 2019, and held various research positions at leading institutions, culminating in extensive work on security and privacy-enhancing technologies at NEC Laboratories Europe. Gajek holds a Ph.D. in cryptography and information security from Ruhr University Bochum and completed postdoctoral research at Tel Aviv University.
