Zaher G.

Zaher G. has diverse work experience in the fields of project management, research, urban planning, and GIS analysis. Starting in 2021, they worked at Encepta as a Project Lead II, where they managed project progress, budgets, and quality, while also utilizing GIS platforms, Excel, SQL, and Python scripts to analyze and present project data. Prior to this, Zaher worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria from 2020 to 2021. In 2019, they gained experience as an Urban Planner (Co-op) at Strongitharm Consulting Ltd., delivering urban designs and conducting studies on development projects. From 2017 to 2019, Zaher worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Victoria, tutoring and providing training in GIS and programming courses. Their earlier experience includes working as a GIS/Planning Specialist at the City of Tehran, where they implemented data collection and analysis methods, carried out spatial analysis, and reformed the land development data platform.

Zaher G. has a strong educational background in the field of Geography and Urban and Regional Planning. Zaher first pursued a Master of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Allameh Tabataba'i University, studying from 2012 to 2014. Later, Zaher G. further developed their expertise by completing a second Master of Science degree in Geography from the University of Victoria, where they studied from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Zaher G. has obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. In May 2023, they completed the "Programming in Python for Data Science" certification from The University of British Columbia. In February 2023, Zaher G. obtained a certification in "Data Analytics" from BrainStation. Zaher also holds a certification in "Occupational First Aid Level 1" from Alert First-Aid Inc., which they obtained in March 2021.
