Tyler Doughty

Tyler Doughty currently serves as a Senior Scientist and Strain Development Lead at Terragia Biofuel since February 2024. Previously, as a Sr. Scientist and Program Manager at ZymoChem from April 2023 to March 2024, Tyler managed a program focused on microbial production, leading a team of 15-20 members while facilitating communication between partners and internal leadership. Tyler's experience at Zymergen and Clara Foods™ involved scientific roles that enhanced strain and process development for yeast and bacterial projects, emphasizing genomics and transcriptomics. Earlier, Tyler conducted postdoctoral research in synthetic and systems biology at Chalmers tekniska högskola and completed a PhD at UMass Medical School, where research focused on protein stability in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Tyler's academic journey also includes undergraduate research at UMass Medical School, exploring regulators of the mammalian senescence pathway.
