Jacob Barney

Jacob Barney has a diverse work experience. Jacob started as a Research Associate at Weber Basin Water Conservancy District in 2017, where they conducted water conservation audits and provided horticulture knowledge. In 2018, they became an Undergraduate Researcher in Vargis Laboratory at Utah State University, specializing in research projects. Later, they also served as a Housing Resident Assistant, providing peer advice and fostering a positive community environment. In 2019, Jacob joined GE Healthcare as a Product Engineer, where they presented solutions to reduce labor time and waste, implemented label solutions, and created a Kanban system for product tracking. Currently, they hold the role of VP of Operations at Encircle, where they are responsible for overseeing operations.

Jacob Barney received their high school diploma from Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering and Science in 2016. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biological Engineering at Utah State University from 2016 to 2020. In 2014, they also completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree at Weber State University. Jacob later obtained a Project Management Certificate from Cornell University in 2022. Additionally, they earned a Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate certification in February 2019 from Dassault Systèmes.
