Karen Hammerman

Karen Hammerman has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Karen began their career in 1988 at Honeywell, where they served as the Director of the Corporate Wellness Program at HFSI until 1991. Karen then moved on to Navy Federal Credit Union, where they worked as a Consultant for their Employee Wellness Program from 1990 to 1998. In 2007, Karen joined CESJDS as a Substitute Teacher, where they were well-received by the students. Karen stayed with CESJDS until 2014. In 2016, Karen volunteered for two organizations - LOVELOUD and The Trevor Project, where they served as a Utah Ambassador and Volunteer, respectively. Most recently, they joined Encircle in 2017 as the Director of Talent Relations and LGBTQ+ Outreach.

Karen Hammerman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Emory University in the years 1979 to 1983. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Health Education from The Johns Hopkins University, specifically from the School of Public Health, during the period of 1983 to 1988.
