James Shahbazian

James Shahbazian has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. James is currently the Head of FP&A at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President Finance U.S. at Vifor Pharma from 2017 to 2022, where they were responsible for accounting, finance operations, and financial planning and analysis. James also served as the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Relypsa from 2014 to 2017 and as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Exelixis from 2007 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Sr. FP&A Manager at Affymax from 2006 to 2007 and as the Sr. Mgr of Planning and Reporting at Titan Pharmaceuticals from 2000 to 2006.

James Shahbazian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco. Additionally, they hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance from Golden Gate University.
