Peter F. Bove, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Peter F. is currently working as the Associate Director of Immunology - Translational Sciences at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Pre-Clinical Research at Khloris Biosciences, where they were responsible for revolutionizing medical treatment and prevention of cancer and other diseases using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
Before their role at Khloris Biosciences, Peter worked as the Director of Discovery Biology at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc., where they led a team in performing various immunology, biochemical, and molecular assays to support current mechanisms of action for gastrointestinal (GI) disease indications.
Peter F. also has experience as the Director of Respiratory Disease Research - Cystic Fibrosis Research at Nivalis Therapeutics, Inc. There, they led a team in developing and coordinating electrophysiology, biochemical, and cell biology assays to identify CFTR-related mechanisms of GSNOR inhibition. Additionally, they played a key role in finalizing and drafting CF Pre-Clinical sections for IND filing leading to the initiation of phase 1 and 2 clinical trials.
Before transitioning to the industry, Peter held various research positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Vermont. Peter F. also worked as a Research Associate and Analytical Associate at Biogen Idec.
Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated strong leadership skills, successfully managing teams and mentoring scientific staff. Peter F. has a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Vermont.
Peter F. Bove, Ph.D. attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry/Biophysics. Peter F. then pursued further education at the University of Vermont, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
