Yosr Bouhlal

Yosr Bouhlal has a diverse work experience spanning over almost two decades. Yosr started their career as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the Institut National de Neurologie de Tunis, where they worked from December 2001 to June 2009. Yosr then joined Ooredoo Tunisie as a Customer Service Manager, where they worked from August 2003 to February 2010.

In 2010, Yosr began working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of South Dakota, where they stayed until June 2011. Yosr then joined UCSF Medical Center as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from July 2011 to June 2014.

After their postdoctoral roles, Yosr transitioned into the field of Biotechnology. Yosr joined TOMA Biosciences in June 2014 as an R&D Scientist. During their time at TOMA Biosciences, they served various roles, including Principal Scientist and Director of Research and Development. In these roles, Yosr managed projects and teams working on the development and validation of sequencing products and liquid biopsy panels. Yosr also collaborated with bioinformatics and business development teams, and led efforts in product manufacturing and quality management. Yosr worked at TOMA Biosciences until August 2017.

From August 2017 to October 2020, Yosr worked at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist, specifically involved in Analytical Methods Development.

Currently, Yosr Bouhlal is working at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. as a Senior Scientist in Translational Sciences. Yosr joined the company in October 2020 and is currently in this role.

Yosr Bouhlal has a strong educational background in the field of genetics and molecular biology. Yosr completed their Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Facutle des Sciences de Monastir, which they attended from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I) from 2000 to 2001. Yosr then went on to join Faculté des Sciences Mathématiques, Physiques et Naturelles de Tunis, where they obtained a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology.

In addition to their formal education, Yosr Bouhlal also acquired a certification in Statistics Foundations: 2 from LinkedIn, which they obtained in October 2019.
