Christopher Benton

Christopher Benton has over 30 years of work experience in engineering and IT roles. Christopher'smost recent position was as the Vice President of Engineering at Encompass Digital Media, Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Engineering - Broadcast & IT Systems at the Virgin Islands Public Broadcasting System from 2019 to 2023. Christopher also held roles as the Chief Engineer - Broadcast & IT Systems at FOX Sports South from 2014 to 2019, the Director of Engineering - Broadcast & IT Systems at Fox Networks Group from 2013 to 2014, and as a Senior BIT Engineer, BIT Supervisor, and BIT Maintenance Engineer II at CNN from 2000 to 2013. Christopher began their career as an Assistant Engineer at CBS Radio - WZGC in 1998 and worked as a Production Equipment Technician at Panavision from 1996 to 1998. Christopher also served in the US Army as an E-5 Sergeant - 98G, Senior Voice & Signal Interceptor from 1988 to 1992.

Christopher Benton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting from Georgia Southern University, where they attended from 1993 to 1996. Christopher also holds additional certifications including Certified Personal Fitness Trainer from W.I.T.S. World Instructor Training Schools and Network+ Certification from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, obtained in 2013 and 2004 respectively.
