David A. South

David A. South, PharmD, MS, is an experienced pharmacy professional currently serving as the Director of Pharmacy at Encompass Health since October 2022. Previously, David held the position of Clinical Pharmacist at Huntsville Hospital from December 2021 to October 2022 and served in various roles at UAB Medicine from August 2016 to November 2021, including Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services. David's foundational experience includes completing a PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at UNC Health Care, where key responsibilities involved clinical rotations and management duties. With earlier pharmacy externships at Decatur Morgan Hospital and Walgreens, David also demonstrated leadership as Chapter President of the APhA-ASP at Samford University.
