Will Flaa

Will Flaa focuses on raising institutional equity and debt placement for Encore and directs the day-to-day operations of the analytics and underwriting team. He has overseen more than $10 billion in transactions in the underwriting, closing, and origination of numerous commercial mortgage loans involving all property types across the United States. When Mr. Flaa joined Encore in 2017, he brought with him over 30 years of experience in real estate, including valuation, analysis and research, and mortgage capital analysis. Previously, Mr. Flaa served as Managing Director for Cantor Commercial Real Estate and Regional Director for Goldman Sachs Commercial Mortgage Capital, L.P., based in Dallas, Texas. During his tenure with both firms, he was responsible for the management of mortgage banking relationships, loan origination, and underwriting and managing all aspects of the loan closing process. Mr. Flaa is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Real Estate and Finance. Affiliations and memberships include: International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA), the North Texas Real Estate Council, and The Appraisal Institute (MAI).
