Thomas R. Gilmartin, P.E., PMP, LEED AP has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple engineering roles. Thomas R. started their career at Koike Aronson, Inc. in 1992 as an Electrical Engineer, designing automation and power systems for robotic machine tools. Thomas R. then joined GE Fanuc in 1996 as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on designing plastic-injection machine control cabinets and automated production systems. In 1997, they joined Omya as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where they worked until 2008. During their time at Omya, they designed electrical power and control systems. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Nussbaumer & Clarke, Inc. as an Associate, managing projects, overseeing designs, and securing engineering work. In 2011, they joined ATSI, Inc. as a Project Manager before transitioning into the role of Principal Engineer - Electrical in 2012. At ATSI, Inc., their responsibilities included managing a group of engineers and drafters, delivering designs to clients, and developing new clients through direct marketing. Thomas R. joined Encorus Group in 2014, initially as a Principal Engineer and later as the Director of Engineering Design Services.

Thomas R. Gilmartin, P.E., PMP, LEED AP attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications throughout their career. In 2003, they became a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Vermont. In 2008, they obtained the Professional Engineer certification from the New York State Education Department. Thomas R. earned the LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) certification from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in 2009. Furthermore, in 2007, they received the Engineering Record certification from NCEES. In subsequent years, they acquired multiple Professional Engineer licenses, including those from the State of Michigan in 2012, the State of Missouri in 2013, the State of South Carolina in 2013, the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in 2013, the State of Maine in 2015, the State of Minnesota in 2015, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2015. Moreover, they obtained a Professional Engineer license from the State of New Mexico in 2015. Lastly, in 2017, they obtained a Foreign License (P. Eng.) from Professional Engineers Ontario and a Foreign Licensee (P. Eng.) from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
