Faruque Ahmed

Faruque Ahmed has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to data engineering and database administration. Faruque is currently the Data Engineering Lead at Endeavour Energy (NSW), where they have been working since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at the same company from 2021 to 2023. Faruque has also worked as a Data Engineer at Ampol Australia from 2017 to 2021. Before that, they held the position of Big Data Engineer - Optus Account at Billigence in 2017. From 2009 to 2016, Faruque worked at Asiacell, where they held roles such as Big Data and Database Sr. Expert, Database Expert, and Senior Database Administrator. Faruque also worked as a Database Assistant Manager at BanglalinkGSM from 2008 to 2009, and as a DBA at Asiacell from 2006 to 2008. Faruque's early career includes working as Deputy Manager of Database and e-business Administration at GrameenPhone from 2004 to 2006, and as a System Analyst at Grameen Solutions from 2000 to 2004.

Faruque Ahmed has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. Faruque is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science from the University of Sydney, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
