Lauren Bek

Lauren Bek, MBA has a diverse work experience in the field of event management. Lauren is currently the Director of Special Events at Endicott College, where they manage, plans, and executes large-scale special events for the college's President. Lauren has also created a structural event brief for all special events and provided menu design direction to chefs.

Previously, Lauren worked as a Special Event Manager and Event Coordinator at Endicott College. Lauren was responsible for managing, planning, and executing special events and weddings. During this time, they also interned at The Perfect Plan Wedding & Event Coordination, where they planned and executed weddings, managed the company's website, and designed wedding collateral.

Lauren has also gained experience as a Corporate & Special Events Intern at Rafanelli Events, where they participated in master classes, attended virtual meetings, and strengthened their knowledge in production scheduling and staffing. Lauren worked at Lord Thompson Manor as a Special Events Assistant Manager, where they managed wedding set-up, tailored weddings to client preferences and budget, and exceeded client expectations.

Additionally, Lauren interned as a Food and Beverage Manager at Hawthorne Hotel, where they gained knowledge in Delphi, facilitated tasks for the banquet staff, and managed the Annual Wedding Tasting event. Lauren also interned as a Sales and Marketing Intern at Hotel Providence, where they strengthened their knowledge in Sales Force, provided on-site direction to the catering manager department, and facilitated communication with clients on various event details.

Lauren's earlier work experience includes roles as a Server and Cook at La Chanterelle, Marketing and Event Management Intern at Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Receptionist at Blackstone National Golf Club.

Throughout their work experience, Lauren has demonstrated strong event planning and management skills, as well as expertise in menu design, communication, and client satisfaction.

Lauren Bek, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Event Leadership from Johnson & Wales University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Hospitality Management at Endicott College. Lauren also pursued a brief period of study at the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) and took a hospitality administration/management course at the United Arab Emirates Academy in Dubai. Lauren's educational journey began with the attainment of a high school diploma from Whitinsville Christian School.
